Q. What is an MCHCPid?
A. Your MCHCPid is a unique number assigned to
you by MCHCP.
Q. What is the purpose of an MCHCPid?
A. The MCHCPid provides you with increased security
and a higher level of customer service. The MCHCPid is
used to simplify the verification process when you call our
office. This number applies specifically to you and your
account with MCHCP.
Q. Can I change my MCHCPid to
a number I am more familiar with?
A. To maintain the privacy of your health information,
this number remains the same and cannot be changed.
Q. I currently have family coverage.
Why was I issued an MCHCPid, but my spouse and my
children were not given one?
A. Your information, as the subscriber, is used in correspondence.
Assigning an MCHCPid number to you prevents MCHCP
from sending your Social Security number through the mail.
Your dependents Social Security numbers are not used for
this type of correspondence.
Q. I've misplaced my PIN and MCHCPid.
How can I obtain this information?
A. You can request these be mailed to you by phone or through myMCHCP.
The information cannot be provided over the phone.
Q. I am a new State employee and have
not yet received my MCHCPid and PIN. How do I obtain
information from MCHCP regarding my coverage?
A. When you call our office, you need to provide your Social
Security number and answer a series of questions to verify
your identity. If your enrollment has not yet been processed,
our Benefit Specialists can assist you with general benefit
questions.
Q. What is myMCHCP?
A. myMCHCP is a secure area of our website where
you may view personal information, update demographics and
make changes to your coverage during Open Enrollment.
Q. How do I access myMCHCP?
A. You can access it through MCHCP's
website. In order to log onto myMCHCP, you
must provide your MCHCPid or Social Security number
and your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Q. What kind of information can I
obtain through myMCHCP?
A. Currently you can view your coverage, update your demographic
information, change your PIN and change your insurance coverage
during Open Enrollment.
