An election for the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP) Board of Trustees will be taking place from Feb. 5-19, 2020. The following position will be elected:

  • One (1) active employee member seat (term ending Dec. 31, 2025) .

Candidate nominations will be accepted at the MCHCP offices (832 Weathered Rock Ct., Jefferson City) starting Wednesday, Jan. 8. They will be collected until 4:30 p.m. CT, on Friday, Jan. 24. Nominations will be accepted in physical paper form and via email, at election@mchcp.org. Starting Jan. 8, printable nomination packets will be available to all members on this website. Candidates may only run for one position on the board. Qualifications for a seat on the Board of Trustees are as follows:

  • Candidates must be subscribers of the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP).
  • A candidate who is running for a position on the board as an active employee member must be employed on the date the nominating packets are due (Friday, Jan. 24).
  • The following members are not eligible candidates:
    • Current MCHCP employees.
    • Immediate relatives of persons employed by MCHCP. (Immediate relatives include: employee's spouse, children of employee or spouse, parents of employee or spouse, brothers and sisters of employee [including brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law], grandchildren [including great-grandchildren] of employee or spouse, grandparents [including great-grandparents] of employee or spouse, and members of the employee's household.)

It will be automatic grounds for disqualification if it is determined that a candidate has knowingly submitted false information during the election process.

Once nominations are collected and the candidates certified, candidate profiles will be available on this website, starting Friday, Jan. 31.

Voting will be done via an online ballot, which will go live on myMCHCP starting Wednesday, Feb. 5. It will close at midnight CT on Wednesday, Feb. 19. Each active subscriber may vote one time for the candidate they so choose. Voters must be subscribers of MCHCP as of Friday, Jan. 31, 2020. Active employee members will vote on active employee member candidates. As there is not an open spot, retiree members are not voting in this election. Computers will be available at the MCHCP offices for those who do not have access to the Internet, but still wish to vote, during standard business hours throughout the entirety of the election period.

Results will be posted on this website within 48 hours of election certification. Any questions regarding the voting or nomination process should be directed to election@mchcp.org.
