Point of Service (POS)

Q. What is a Point of Service plan?

A. A Point of Service is a plan which allows you to receive services from network or non-network providers. Claims payment is determined at the point of where you receive services or you receive care.

Q. If I use non-network providers, am I still covered?

A.YES. You can see a non-network provider if you choose, but you receive the maximum benefit when using network providers.

Q. If I use non-network providers, are claims filed for me?

A.If you use non-network providers, you may be responsible for filing claims.

 

Q. Do I need to choose a Primary Care Physician (PCP)?

A. Your plan may require you to choose a PCP to receive network benefits.
