Other Insurance Rights

Right of Conversion
If your group policy is terminated, you may have the right to an individual converted policy without submission of a health statement. Contact the appropriate medical plan for additional information on individual policies.

Grace Period
If you fail to pay premiums on the required due date, MCHCP allows a 31 day grace period, during which time your coverage remains in effect. Coverage is terminated at the end of the grace period if you have not paid the appropriate premiums. If services are rendered during the grace period, you are responsible for either the premium due or the value of the services rendered.

Subscriber Participation
You have an opportunity to participate in matters of the health care plan’s policy and operation by offering appropriate suggestions to the policy making body of the plan. Contact the appropriate health care plan for additional information.
