What's New for 2009?

Wellness/Disease Management Programs

Expect the following changes to Lifestyle Ladder and Smart Steps®:

  • The monthly incentive for participation in the Lifestyle Ladder has increased to $15 for subscriber only coverage and $30 for subscriber/spouse coverage.

  • Participation in the Smart Steps® program does not qualify you for a lower health insurance premium (incentive premium); however, you have the option to participate in both programs.

  • All members (even those who have good habits and are healthy) will need to participate and work with a health coach to receive the incentive premium.

  • If you qualify for Smart Steps®, you can take the Personal Health Analysis (iPHA) and participate in Lifestyle Ladder to receive the incentive premium.

  • If you participate in the tobacco cessation program through Lifestyle Ladder, you can receive approved tobacco cessation prescription drugs for 12 weeks free.

  • New online coaching is available as well as many more online resources.

  • Get the same great service from your health coach via e-mail. When using an online coach, you can work with the same health coach each time.
