Plan Options Available January 1, 2010
For calendar year 2010, medical plan vendor changes are expected to save MCHCP an estimated $8 million in administrative fees alone and an additional estimated $20 million in expected claims costs due to better claims discounts. This will help keep premium costs down for members while maintaining quality health care options.
Medical Plans
Prescription Drug Plan
The pharmacy benefits will remain the same for 2010 with no increase in copayment or coinsurance amounts. MCHCP renewed its contract with Express Scripts, Inc. to administer the pharmacy program.
Dental and Vision Plans
MCHCP renewed contracts with Delta Dental and Vision Service Plan (VSP). Both of these optional plans continue to provide excellent service to MCHCP members, and MCHCP is pleased to announce that monthly premiums for these two plans will not increase.
